Welcome to Bit By Bit Farms, the home of After Dark Morgan Horses. Bit by Bit Farms was established in 1983, and for over 20 years now we have been raising Morgan horses. They are winners....of ribbons, of trophies, and most of all their owners hearts. Soundness, kindness and trainability have come to be associated with an After Dark Morgan.
Bit By Bit Farms is located in the Grande Ronde Valley of NE Oregon. It is surrounded by the Blue Mountains, The Eagle Cap Wilderness, and the Elkhorn Mountains.
Mark Champion is retired from Boeing and now on to a second career as an Electrical Supervisor with Boise Cascade. Mark enjoys the ranch, cattle, and horses.
Shirley is a full time horse trainer/rancher and part time Hospice/Home Health Nurse. With an addition of an indoor arena in 2008 she will be able to train client horses year round as well as continue the popular riding/driving lesson program without interruption. Shirley's focus as a trainer and instructor has always been on safety and then on assisting clients in achieving their goals.
Mark and Shirley have two grown children, Justin and Kandice, who both have families of their own. Justin is an Information Technology manager for Latus Motors and Kandice is a riding instructor. Justin and Danielle's family includes a son, Curran and daughter Charlotte. Kandi has two girls, Sarah and Lily. Who knew having grandchildren could be so much fun?
